Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev is the Dean, Head of the Department “Industrial Economics and Management ” and Director of the Master’s program “Energy Markets and Services” at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. He also teaches courses at the Diplomatic Institute at the Bulgarian MFA.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Atanas Georgiev is active in the management of a number of business associations: Board Member at the National Committee of Bulgaria in the World Energy Council; Board Member at Industrial Cluster “Electric Mobility”; Deputy Chairman of the MB of the Council for Innovation, Digitalization and New Technologies at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As of December 2022, he was elected as an independent member of the Supervisory Board at UniCredit Bulbank AD.
He worked as an energy restructuring consultant at Ukonomics (2005-2009) and at “Public Services” (from 2010 until now). Assoc. Prof. Georgiev is also publisher and editor in chief of the business magazines “Utilities” and “Facilities”.
