Lidiya Shuleva

Member of the Board of the Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria.

Bio

Lydia Shuleva is an electronics engineer and has a master’s degree in finance. She has had five graduate studies abroad, including Harvard Kennedy School USA.
In the early 1990s she founded her consulting company Business Intellect. She has been CEO of Albena Invest Holding, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Minister of Economy, Member of the Bulgarian and European Parliament.
For her achievements in the social sphere Lydia Shuleva was awarded the UN World Prize for her contribution to achieving the Millennium Development Goals.
Currently Lydia Shuleva is engaged in consulting on investment projects.
She is Chair of the Specialized Committee on Economic Development of the GBTEC.
Lydia Shuleva is a member of the Board of the Council of Women in Business and represents the organization in the Economic and Social Council and the National Council for Gender Equality.
